Joint news release between Olink and NO-Age

The Norwegian Centre on Healthy Ageing Network (NO-Age, www.noage100.com) is a Norway-based integrated, international, and interdisciplinary network for human aging research. NO-Age connects over 50 aging and brain-research labs worldwide with an overarching goal to empower people to live longer, healthier, and more meaningful lives.

NO-Age aims to employ a common conceptual framework to understand the complex interplay of biological, physiological, cultural, and social factors that influence health and well-being at individual, population, and societal levels. We believe personalized healthcare can be delivered to place the individual at the center of treatment plans, not their one or many conditions. And our collaborations will uncover the knowledge to implement this into our healthcare systems.

NO-Age actively engages with several stakeholders to develop interventions to promote healthy living and social participation in old age. We are excited about the next stage of our goal, where we welcome the opportunity to strengthen our work with the addition of Olink® Proteomics technology to advance our multi-omics approach, and we look forward to the continued excellent scientific thought and support they have provided us. To build on the knowledge gained in our prior work, it is now a must to integrate proteomics into our translational research. It is with this in mind that we are pleased to announce the inclusion of Olink Proteomics’ PEA (Proximity Extension Assay) in our research initiatives. It is a testament to their ability to scale studies like ours to investigate over 5400 proteins with as little as 2 uL, making Olink our technology of choice to evolve our research and bring closer the possibility of more effective prevention measures to slow down or even halt the onset of age-related disorders.

We look forward to new insights we will gain with the continued excellent scientific insight and support they have provided us.
